Tanzanite Rings
Â
Why are tanzanite rings so highly sought after? The simple answer is that the contrast created between the deep blues and violets of tanzanite and the silver like sheen of polished metal is simply dazzling. Darker tanzanite rings tantalize the soul with their mystique and elegance.
The most commonly available pieces are generally tanzanite rings, as most stones are too soft for use in earrings and necklaces. However, one of the most famous of all tanzanite stones, the 242 carat Queen of Kilimanjaro was set in a tiara accented with over 900 diamonds and 800 tsavorite garnets.

Tanzanite Rings Origin
Mined in the northern hills of Tanzania (hence its name), the gems are actually reddish brown in their rough state. Tanzanite rings have only existed since the discovery of the gem back in 1967 in Tanzania. Since then, though, jewelers across the globe have clamored to put well cut tanzanite gems into rings of all sorts and varieties.
